"2009"

AASP-MA/RI is continuing to move forward with Mass R2R legistlation in 2009. With input & support from additional Associations and Consumer Groups, AASP-MA/RI will indroduce a new and improved version of  "Massachusetts Right to Repair Act" in the upcoming legistlative Session. With the ever increasing technology being introduced in today's vehicles, this legistlation will be written to withstand the technology changes of today and carry us into the future!

"MASSACHUSETTS RIGHT TO REPAIR"

*AN ACT GUARANTEEING CONSUMERS OWNERSHIP, PRIVACY AND ACCESS TO ALL DIAGNOSTIC, REPAIR AND SERVICE INFORMATION FOR THEIR MOTOR VEHICLES, BY ESTABLISHING A MOTOR VEHICLE OWNER’S BILL OF RIGHTS.

The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of Massachusetts/Rhode Island, Inc. (AASP-MA/RI) is a chapter of the largest auto service industry association supporting Right to Repair legislation. A lot of work has already been done and we ask that you and your company support our efforts to get this bill passed in Massachusetts. We have:

•           Introduced H296 into the Massachusetts House of Representatives

•           Created our communications strategy for the media

•           Created our industry-wide, grassroots political strategy

Getting the Massachusetts Right to Repair Act passed is vital to the future of your business, your customers, and consumers all across our commonwealth. We appreciate your willingness to take the time to find out more about what you can do to help in this effort and look forward to working with you and your firm throughout the current legislative session. It is our plan to win and we hope to celebrate this victory with you on our team. Thank you.
